About the Front Desk Receptionist Role:

The Front Desk Receptionist holds a key position in providing exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members and guests, creating a welcoming environment that promotes a non-judgmental atmosphere.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Greet all club patrons with a smile and be ready to answer any questions or help with any concerns they may have during the check-in process.
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere for all our members, aligning with our Judgement Free Zone policy while promoting our members’ fitness journey.
  • Resolve member complaints and escalate to a higher level if needed.
  • Handle phone calls with a positive approach and aid callers in finding solutions.
  • Manage membership operations such as registration, updating contact and billing information, membership cancellation, revenue retrieval, and membership transfer.
  • Engage in calls and tours with potential members to determine their specific membership prerequisites.
  • Conduct retail transactions with precision and work towards achieving sales goals.
  • Consistently clean and sanitize all exercise equipment and spa amenities to prevent the spread of germs and ensure a clean environment.
  • Keep restrooms clean and well-stocked throughout the day by continuously monitoring supplies and cleaning the facilities as needed.
  • Regularly examine all areas within the club to ensure safety and rule conformity, addressing any safety hazards and cleanliness problems promptly.
  • Address maintenance and facility issues, such as malfunctioning equipment and leaky faucets and fixtures, immediately to maintain a safe and functional environment.

Qualifications:

About Your Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience of 6-12 months working in a customer service capacity.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Opportunity to become certified in CPR/AED is available at Planet Fitness.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Demands:

  • Continuously mobile and standing throughout the shift to complete necessary tasks.
  • Continuously relay updates through conversations in person or on the phone during the shift.
  • Ability to hoist items up to 75 pounds in weight.
  • Possible exposure to dangerous chemicals during the shift.
  • Regular attention to the purification and tidiness of machinery and facilities.
  • Modifying body positions, including bending and twisting, to successfully carry out assigned duties.
