Department Overview
The Integrated Student Service Center (ISSC) aims to create a seamless student experience in areas including financial aid, student accounting, money management, registration, and admissions. These services support student satisfaction, retention, and academic success.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for various enrollment-related services, assisting students, parents, and campus personnel professionally via in-person, phone, or virtual interactions.
  • Answer questions, provide general information, research solutions, and resolve issues regarding financial aid, enrollment, admissions, academic records, billing, and payments.
  • Understand and interpret student needs, providing support across all enrollment services areas.
  • Use available tools to help students navigate confidential information across multiple systems.
  • Comply with all university policies and maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to federal, state, and institutional regulations, policies, and business processes.
  • Utilize the CRM database to assist students and document requests throughout the student lifecycle.
  • Create and manage student cases, track and escalate as needed, and follow through with resolutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in a customer-oriented, service-based environment with students or customers.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, along with critical thinking and administrative abilities.
  • Able to meet expectations in a dynamic, customer-oriented setting with flexibility in adjusting priorities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, student information systems, and CRM tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working at UNT or a similar university.
  • Familiarity with student information systems like PeopleSoft and Salesforce.
  • Experience in higher education, especially within a one-stop service model, financial aid, registrar, or student accounting.
  • Experience working with diverse student, staff, and faculty populations with sensitivity to cultural diversity.
